How We Keep Speaking To Each Other When We Travel Together

We are both very opinionated and like having our own way! That’s a fact. This can make for some tricky times when we are planning our trips and spending large amounts of time together when we are travelling. So, how do we make sure that we don’t let the stress of planning and making decisions overwhelm us and lead to arguments?

Here is how we keep things fun and stress-free as we plan our trips and travel together…

  1. Plan Together
Involve each other in the planning process. Discuss and agree on destinations, activities, and accommodations to ensure both partners have a say and feel excited about the trip.
  2. Communicate Openly
Keep communication open and honest. Talk about your expectations, travel preferences, and any concerns you might have. This helps prevent misunderstandings and ensures you’re on the same page.
  3. Be Flexible and Patient
Travel can be unpredictable. Embrace flexibility and patience, whether it’s dealing with flight delays or navigating unfamiliar places. Supporting each other through these moments can strengthen your bond – and after sometime will turn into funny anecdotes to share with friends and family.
  4. Share Responsibilities
Divide tasks based on each other’s strengths. For example, one partner can handle booking flights and accommodations, while the other manages itineraries and activities. Sharing responsibilities makes the process smoother and more enjoyable.
  5. Make Time for Romance and Relaxation
Amid sightseeing and adventures, carve out time for romantic moments and relaxation. Whether it’s a quiet dinner, a sunset walk, or simply unwinding at a cozy café, these moments will enhance your travel experience together – and is soooo important!

Remember, it’s not just about the destination! Enjoy the whole experience from the planning, the anticipation, the journey itself and then the fun and enjoyment of discovering a new place together.

Safari Njema!
